Commissioning a song allows your whole organization, not just the musical group, to highlight the importance of the organization and the music that helps build community within that organization. A commission also involves patrons, parents, singers or members as they all look forward to the premiere of the song written solely for the person being honored or the whole organization. It’s really quite an honor to leave a lasting legacy that will be performed for years to come. For some organizations, the commissioned song is a fundraiser. For others, it marks a celebration or a way to honor someone. For individuals, it’s a special piece written just for their concert or for that one bride when she walks down the aisle.

One show that I created was a night club style show which required arrangements of pop, and more contemporary songs. Teresa was able to accommodate easily, the needs of this music. Teresa’s amazing versatility makes her suited to whatever musical need arises!
Her latest commissioned composition “Let Us Come Alive” received much acclaim both from our choir and the Bellarmine University Choir. It is a great example of perfect harmony meeting great poetry.
Teresa was commissioned to write “Garden of Peace” which uniquely celebrates our history with roots in Kentucky. Teresa has gifted our Dominican community through her musical interpretation of our Mission to preach peace. We are most grateful.
